Madrasha management, from roll call to Hifz
Jariyah Madrasha runs a masjid’s school: students and their households, programmes and levels, daily attendance, Hifz and Qa’idah lessons with Mushaf pages worked out for you, homework, family fees with sibling discounts, and reports and messages to parents. Teachers see only the children they teach, and never the fees.

Madrasha
What it does
Students and households
Each child belongs to a household with one or more guardians and one main contact. A guardian marked as not to have access stays on file and is never contacted.
Programmes your way
Hifz, Qa’idah or general programmes, with your own names and levels — none are set for you in advance.
Attendance
Present, absent, late or excused, with a note: one mark per child per day.
Daily lessons
For Hifz: sabaq, sabqi and manzil, each graded, with mistakes. For Qa’idah: the page reached. Mushaf pages are worked out from the surah and ayahs, never typed.
Homework and milestones
Homework set from the lesson, and dated milestones: a surah, a juz, or the whole Qur’an.
Family fees
One charge per child per month, a sibling discount if you set one, payments that settle the oldest month first, and mistakes reversed, never erased.
Parents kept informed
Daily lesson reports, homework reminders, weekly and monthly reports, and announcements, sent through an outbox the office can see.
Overview, reports and points
Attendance, Hifz progress and fees owed per family — the same figure everywhere — and recognition points where a programme uses them.
How it works
How it works for a masjid
- 1
Set up your programmes
Your programmes, levels, fees and the names of your grades.
- 2
Enrol students
Children, households and guardians, and which teacher teaches whom.
- 3
Teach and record
Teachers mark attendance and record each day’s lesson and homework.
- 4
Keep families informed
Reports and reminders go out by themselves, and parents follow along in the member app.
People
Who uses it
The office
Sees every student, enrols them, and charges and collects fees.
Teachers
See only the students they teach now, and nothing about money. A child they do not teach is not shown to them at all.
Parents
See their own children in the member app, once the office invites them.
The treasurer
Follows fees owed per family, and fee payments into the books.
One platform
How it connects to the other services
- Member appParents see each child’s attendance, lessons, homework and fees on their phone.
- BookkeepingEach fee payment posts to the books as it is received.
- HR & payrollTeachers’ pay lives in HR & payroll; their classes live here.
- Donor managementA parent is the same person record as a donor: one person, one record.
- Admin consoleThe madrasha is one section of the same console.
Questions
Madrasha: common questions
Can teachers see fees, or children they do not teach?
No. A teacher sees only the students in their current classes, and a child they do not teach is not shown to them at all. Fee figures are left out of every answer for anyone without the fees permission, which teachers do not hold, and the server enforces this, not only the screen.
How does Jariyah track Hifz progress?
Teachers record each day’s sabaq by surah and ayahs, with sabqi and manzil, grades and mistakes. Jariyah works out the Mushaf pages from the ayahs itself, then shows the pages memorised per month, over twelve months and across the child’s whole record, alongside milestones such as a completed juz.
How are sibling discounts and fee payments handled?
Set a discount amount and the child it starts from, and it comes off one fee of each child from then on, counted in the order they joined. A family’s payment settles its oldest month first, and anything left over is credit for the next charge. A mistake is reversed with a reason, never erased.
Do parents need a separate login?
No. Parents use the same member app as the rest of your community, once the office invites them from their child’s page. One person keeps one login for giving, prayer times and the madrasha, and the office can remove a parent’s access to the madrasha at any time, at once.
What do parents receive by email?
Madrasha messages go out when the programme has them turned on: a daily lesson report once the teacher has finished, a homework reminder in the evening, weekly and monthly reports, and announcements. Every message is written to an outbox the office can see before it is sent, so none goes out twice.
