Mosque software for Saskatchewan, from Regina to Saskatoon
Jariyah is mosque software for masjids and Islamic centres in Saskatchewan; its portrait donation kiosks are on masjid walls in the province today. One platform runs a masjid’s kiosk, member app, wall screen and website, its books, official receipts for a registered charity, and payroll under Saskatchewan’s rules, with prayer times worked out for the building on its own clock.

What does a Saskatchewan masjid run on Jariyah?
A masjid in Saskatchewan runs the same Jariyah as any in Canada, and four things are particular to the province: payroll under Saskatchewan’s own rules, prayer times worked out for its building at this latitude, its days kept on Saskatchewan’s clock, unchanged all year in most of the province, and kiosks already on the province’s masjid walls.
Payroll under Saskatchewan’s rules
CPP, CPP2, EI and federal and Saskatchewan income tax from the CRA’s T4127 formulas, the Saskatchewan TD1, the province’s minimum vacation pay of 5.77 %, or 7.69 % after ten years, and for staff paid by the hour its public holiday pay and overtime. Federal and Saskatchewan rules are covered today; no other province yet, and Quebec is not covered. T4 slips print, not yet checked by an accountant, and filing them over the Internet in the CRA’s XML is not built yet.
Saskatchewan’s clock, all year
Each building keeps its own time zone, so a gift tapped at the kiosk late in the evening counts on that day. Most of Saskatchewan does not change its clocks, so there nothing moves by an hour in spring or autumn and the calendar file a member adds to their phone carries one rule all year; a building on Alberta’s time, as in Lloydminster, gets Alberta’s zone and its changes.
Prayer times for your building
Adhan times are worked out from your building’s own coordinates and the method your masjid follows, such as ISNA; iqamah follows your committee’s rules, and a day typed by hand replaces the calculation. The member app, the wall screen and the website read that one schedule.
On masjid walls in Saskatchewan today
Jariyah’s portrait donation kiosks are on masjid walls in Saskatchewan today, and the same platform runs the console, the app and the books behind them. Card gifts are paid into each masjid’s own merchant account through its own Square account; Jariyah never holds donations.
Official receipts and the books
For a registered charity, official donation receipts with every field the Income Tax Regulations list, and double-entry books in a charity’s words, where every line can carry its fund, so Zakat, Sadaqah and a building fund are shown apart.
Saskatchewan grants
SaskCulture’s Multicultural Initiatives Fund is on the grants page beside the federal programmes, with each funder’s own conditions and dates, read from its own page. Jariyah keeps track of a grant your masjid holds; it does not find grants for you.

A masjid app in Regina and Saskatoon
What does a masjid app in Regina or Saskatoon show?
Jariyah’s member app is your masjid’s own app on each member’s phone. A masjid app in Saskatoon, Regina or anywhere in Saskatchewan, it carries your masjid’s name and icon and shows its own adhan and iqamah times, Jumu’ah sittings and events, with each member’s giving and receipts. It opens from your masjid’s web address, with no app store needed.
Your masjid’s own times
The next congregation with a countdown, today’s adhan and iqamah and the week ahead, from the same schedule as your wall screen and your website, worked out for your building.
Jumu’ah and events
Your Jumu’ah sittings and your published events, on the clock in your building.
Giving and receipts
Each member’s gifts, grouped by your masjid’s own year, pledges to the campaigns you offer, and, for a registered charity with official receipts turned on, official receipts for one gift or a whole past year.
Parents and the madrasha
Parents the office invites see their child’s attendance, lessons, homework, progress and fees.
No app store
It opens in the phone’s browser from your masjid’s address and saves to the home screen with your masjid’s name and icon, so someone who only wants prayer times keeps it too.
Your website, from the same schedule
With Jariyah Website, your masjid’s own public site shows today’s times, the week and a printable month, and what’s on, on pages written for search engines and AI assistants to read.
The app does not take card payments: members give at the kiosk, or at the office by cash, cheque or e-Transfer, and the app shows each of those gifts.
Prayer times at Saskatchewan’s latitude
How are Fajr and Isha worked out in a Saskatchewan summer?
Far enough north, the sky may not get dark enough to calculate Fajr and Isha by angle alone. Saskatoon is far enough: with ISNA’s 15 degrees, Isha by angle does not occur on about 26 nights around midsummer. Jariyah applies the angle-based rule unless your committee chooses another, and shows an Isha after midnight as that night’s Isha.
Saskatoon, about 52° north
With ISNA’s 15 degrees, the sky is never dark enough for Isha by angle on about 26 nights, from early June to early July, and on about 24 more nights around them Isha falls after midnight.
Regina, about 50° north
With ISNA, Isha by angle occurs every night but falls after midnight on about twelve nights in late June. With the Muslim World League’s 17 degrees for Isha, Isha by angle does not occur on about 32 nights, from early June to early July, and your committee’s rule sets it.
Your committee’s rule
Angle-based by default, where each end of the night gets the share its own angle implies; one-seventh of the night; the middle of the night; or none, which leaves the time empty until the committee decides. It is a juristic choice, so the team asks your committee to confirm it.
Isha after midnight, said plainly
On those nights the member app says that Isha is after midnight and is that night’s Isha, later than Maghrib, and the countdown carries over midnight to it.
Rounded toward caution
Fajr and sunrise round to the earlier minute; Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha to the later one, so nobody acting on the times acts too early.
A day your committee sets
A time typed for a day, in Ramadan or any other, replaces the calculation for that day until it is removed, on the app, the wall screen and the website alike.
The nights are counted by Jariyah’s own calculation for 2026, at each city’s centre. Your building’s coordinates and your masjid’s method decide its own.
Questions
Mosque software in Saskatchewan: common questions
Is Jariyah used by masjids in Saskatchewan?
Yes. Jariyah’s portrait donation kiosks are on masjid walls in Saskatchewan today, and the same platform runs the console, the member app and the books behind them. This site does not name the masjids Jariyah works with; to see it running, open the demo masjid, or call or text Ashique Hossain at 306-209-3923.
Can a masjid with two buildings in Saskatchewan keep separate prayer times?
Yes. Prayer settings can be set per building: its coordinates, time zone, calculation method, high-latitude rule and iqamah rules. So a second building in another town gets its own Fajr and Isha, worked out for where it stands, and its own congregation times, while both stay under one masjid and one login.
Which time zone does Jariyah use for a Saskatchewan masjid?
Its own building’s. The Jariyah team sets the time zone with the building’s location, and prayer times, the countdown, a day’s gifts and the calendar file all follow it. Most of Saskatchewan does not change its clocks, so nothing moves by an hour in spring or autumn; a building on Alberta’s time, as in Lloydminster, gets that zone.
Does Jariyah file our Saskatchewan non-profit annual return?
No. Jariyah does not track or file a province’s filings. A masjid incorporated as a non-profit in Saskatchewan may owe the province’s corporate registry an annual return, on dates the registry sets, so keep it with the registry, your lawyer or your accountant. Jariyah CRA compliance keeps the directors’ register and the board’s minutes.
How much does Jariyah cost for a masjid in Saskatchewan?
Jariyah does not publish prices. Services are switched on one at a time, so the conversation starts with what your masjid runs today, in Regina, Saskatoon or anywhere in the province, and the Jariyah team sets it up. Call or text Ashique Hossain at 306-209-3923 to talk it through.
