JARIYAH

Mosque website design for Canada, set up and kept for you

Jariyah sets up and keeps your masjid’s website for you: one design, made for a phone first, in your masjid’s name, logo and colours, with prayer times, events, how to give and a contact form from what your office keeps. The Jariyah team brings your own words and photos across, with your permission, and changes the site when you ask.

Mosque website design

What does design mean for a Jariyah masjid website?

One design, set in your masjid’s name, logo and colours, rather than a theme built for one client. Every Jariyah website shares the same pages and layout, so a fix or a new kind of section reaches every masjid, and your office changes the words, pictures and pages without anyone typing code.

  • Your name and look

Your name, logo, colours and social profiles on every page, made to read well on a phone first, and a seasonal notice across the top when you want one.

  • Pages of your own

About, a building project, the cemetery, resources: pages built from seven kinds of section, namely words, a picture, a gallery, buttons, a PDF to download, a slider and contact details. Each stays a draft until it is published.

  • A slider on the home page

One slider behind the home page’s heading, turning by itself, with a button to pause it.

  • Nothing typed is code

Text is plain words with a few marks for bold and links. Raw HTML is refused, and a button must go somewhere real, never to an empty link.

  • Your pictures and documents

A library for the site: pictures re-drawn with their location data removed, PDFs checked and always downloaded, up to 300 files. Only what is meant to be public goes in.

  • Your own domain

At your masjid’s address on jariyah.ca from the start, and on your own domain beside it once that is moved over.

Moving from an old website

How does a masjid move its old website to Jariyah?

The Jariyah team reads your old site, keeps your own words, facts and photos with your permission, and leaves the old theme behind. Every old address is sorted: your real pages are sent to their new ones, one by one, and nothing is pointed at the new site until its page answers and you say go.

  1. 1

    Read the old site

The team captures your current site and maps each real page to a built-in page, a setting or a page of your own. The old site is only read; Jariyah never sends anything to it.

  2. 2

    Keep what is yours

Your words, facts and photos come across with your permission. A theme’s stock pictures and demo text do not.

  3. 3

    Sort every old address

Your own pages are redirected to their new ones, address by address. Spam pages injected into the old site, and the old system’s own plumbing, are answered as gone, so search engines drop them.

  4. 4

Check it before it is listed

A person checks the prayer times against your own timetable, every link goes somewhere real, and the site is let into search engines only after your written yes.

  5. 5

    Both addresses

Your site answers at your masjid’s address on jariyah.ca and, once moved, at your own domain too. The team changes only the website’s DNS records, never the ones your email depends on.

What is on it

What goes on a masjid website from Jariyah?

A Jariyah website shows who your masjid is, today’s prayer times with the week and a printable month, what’s on, how to give and a contact form, in your name, logo and colours. Each page reads what your office already keeps in Jariyah, so nothing is typed twice.

  • Prayer times

Today’s adhan and iqamah with the next prayer counting down on the home page, the week on its own page and any month from last month to a year ahead as one printable sheet, with your Jumu’ah sittings, from the same schedule the member app and the wall screen read. Where nothing is set, the page says so.

  • What’s on

Your published events for the next four weeks and month by month, programmes that repeat by their own rule, and an Add to calendar button on each, on your masjid’s clock.

  • How to give

Your funds, the ways to give in your office’s own words, up to three buttons to where your members already give online, and the campaigns you choose to show, with their goal and the money received. Giving online through Jariyah is not built yet.

  • A contact form

Messages arrive in the console’s Messages and the office is emailed. A message is never turned into a donor.

  • Easy to find

Complete pages with schema.org, a sitemap and an llms.txt for each masjid, written so that search engines and AI assistants can read them and point people to you.

Not built yet: giving online through Jariyah. The Give page lists your funds and campaigns, says how to give in your office’s own words, and carries up to three buttons to where your members already give online. Giving online through Jariyah is not built yet.

Questions

Mosque websites in Canada: common questions

How much does a mosque website cost in Canada?

Jariyah does not publish prices. The website is one of your masjid’s services, set up by the Jariyah team on the same account as your kiosk, app and books, with no separate company or system to manage. Call or text Ashique Hossain at 306-209-3923 to talk through what your masjid needs.

Can a small masjid have a website without a developer?

Yes. Nobody at your masjid writes code: the Jariyah team sets the site up, and your office keeps prayer times, events and campaigns in the console, which the site reads by itself. Pages of your own are built from sections, and you ask the team for a new page or a change whenever you need one.

Will our old website’s links still work?

Your own pages’ old addresses do, once your own domain is moved to Jariyah. Each real page is redirected to its new page, one address at a time, once the new page answers; spam pages and the old system’s plumbing are answered as gone, and an unknown address shows the page-not-found, never the home page.

Is a Jariyah masjid website made for phones?

Yes. Every page is made to read well on a phone first, and the same pages widen for a laptop or a desktop. The pages are the same on both, and the prayer times and what’s on come from the one schedule and the one set of events the member app reads.

Does Jariyah do masjid website development in Toronto, Calgary or Saskatoon?

Yes, for a masjid or Islamic centre anywhere in Canada. The Jariyah team sets up and keeps every site on one platform, so it does not need to be in your city: prayer times are worked out for your building’s own coordinates and time zone, and you reach the team by calling or texting 306-209-3923.
