Mosque management software, built for Canada
Jariyah is mosque management software built for Canada. One platform runs a masjid’s or Islamic centre’s donation kiosk, member app, wall screen and website, and also its books, payroll and official donation receipts as a registered charity, so the T3010 draws on records already kept. One login, in Canadian dollars, on Canadian time.
Front of house and back office
What a Canadian masjid runs on it
Mosque management software is usually described as the front of the house: a donation kiosk, a prayer-time screen, an app, a website. A Canadian masjid also has a back office, and that office answers to the Canada Revenue Agency: the receipts it issues, the payroll it runs, the books it keeps and the T3010 it files every year.
Jariyah is built for both halves at once. The gift a visitor taps at the kiosk is the same gift the treasurer sees in the books and the donor sees on their receipt, so nothing is typed twice and the figures the charity reports come from records it already keeps.

In the CRA’s words
Built around what a registered charity owes the Canada Revenue Agency
Official donation receipts
For a registered charity, Jariyah issues official donation receipts with every field the Income Tax Regulations list: the statement that it is an official receipt for income tax purposes, the charity’s name, address and registration number, a serial number, where and when it was issued, the gift’s date, the donor’s name and address, the amount, any advantage, the eligible amount, the name and title of the person who signs (a signature image cannot be added yet), and the CRA’s website. Receipts stay switched off until the legal name, address, charity number, signer and place of issue are filled in.
The T3010
Every registered charity files its annual information return within six months of its year end. Jariyah keeps the books, the receipts and the payroll records the return’s figures draw on, in a form a reviewer can follow. Your accountant or treasurer files the return; Jariyah does not file it for you.
Payroll source deductions
CPP, CPP2, EI and federal and Saskatchewan income tax are worked out from the formulas the CRA publishes in T4127, for the pay date. Each period’s remittance and its due date are shown for your remitter type. Federal and Saskatchewan rules are covered today; no other province yet, and Quebec is not covered; T4 slips print, not yet checked by an accountant, and filing them over the Internet in the CRA’s XML is not built yet.
Books and records
Double-entry books in a charity’s words: a statement of financial position and a statement of operations, not a profit and loss. Every entry balances or is refused, a posted entry is corrected only by a reversal that names it, and bank statements in OFX, QFX or CSV are reconciled to the cent.
Interac e-Transfer, cheques and cash
The money arrives in the masjid’s own bank account, as it does today. The office records the gift against the donor, with Jariyah Bookkeeping it posts to the books in the same step, and it can be receipted like any other gift. The bank statement then reconciles against those entries.
Zakat and other funds, kept apart
Zakat, Sadaqah, a building fund: every line in the books can carry its fund, so what each received, spent and holds is shown apart from the general total. A pledge is a promise and is never counted as money received.
Jariyah CRA compliance helps a charity stay organized and ready. It is not legal or tax advice, it does not replace your accountant, and your directors remain responsible for the charity’s filings and receipts.

One platform
One platform, one login, however your organization is named
Mosque, masjid or Islamic centre
Whatever your organization is registered as, the platform is the same. Your own name, logo, colours and funds go on the kiosk, the wall screen, the app and the website.
One login
Your team signs in once. Each person sees only the services your masjid uses and what their own role allows, checked on the server for every request.
Your money, your account
Card gifts are paid into the masjid’s own merchant account through its own Square account. Jariyah never holds donations.
Your records, kept apart
Every masjid’s records are kept apart in the database itself, which refuses to return another organization’s rows even if every layer above it failed.
Set up for you
The Jariyah team sets up your masjid with its name, funds, prayer-time rules and payroll account, and changes them whenever you ask. Nobody on your board has to install anything.
On masjid walls today
Jariyah’s portrait donation kiosks are on masjid walls in Saskatchewan today, and the same platform runs the console, the app and the books behind them.
Where the records are stored, and who can see them, is written down in the privacy policy.
Questions
Mosque management software in Canada: common questions
Is Jariyah for a mosque, a masjid or an Islamic centre?
All three. Jariyah is one platform for mosques, masjids, Islamic centres and Islamic charities in Canada, whatever the organization is registered as. Each one switches on only the services it needs, from the donation kiosk and the member app to the books, payroll and official receipts, and the Jariyah team sets it up.
Does mosque management software in Canada need to issue official donation receipts?
Only a registered charity may issue official donation receipts, and if your masjid is one, the software it uses should issue them properly. Jariyah issues them with every field the Income Tax Regulations list, frozen when issued, numbered once and never putting one gift on two receipts, for a single gift or for a whole year.
Does Jariyah file our T3010?
No. Jariyah keeps the books, receipts and payroll records that the T3010’s figures draw on, in a form a reviewer can follow, and your accountant or treasurer files the return within six months of your year end. Jariyah CRA compliance is not legal or tax advice, and it does not replace your accountant.
Can it run payroll for an imam and the other staff?
Yes, for a masjid paid under federal and Saskatchewan rules today; no other province yet, and Quebec is not covered. Jariyah keeps staff records, hours and pay runs, works out CPP, CPP2, EI and income tax from the CRA’s published formulas, and shows each remittance and its due date. T4 slips await an accountant’s check, so ask first.
Does it work with Interac e-Transfer?
Yes, as a way of recording gifts. An e-Transfer arrives in the masjid’s own bank account as it does today; the office records it against the donor, with Jariyah Bookkeeping it posts to the books in the same step, and it can be receipted like any other gift. Jariyah does not move the money or hold it.
What does it cost, and who sets it up?
Jariyah does not publish prices. Services are switched on one at a time, so the conversation starts with what your masjid runs today, and the Jariyah team sets everything up with your name, your funds and your people. Call or text Ashique Hossain at 306-209-3923 to talk it through.
