Islamic school software for Canada: madrasah fees in Canadian dollars
Jariyah Madrasha is Islamic school software for a Canadian masjid’s madrasah, maktab or weekend Islamic school. It keeps students and households, attendance, Hifz and Qa’idah lessons, and family fees in Canadian dollars with sibling discounts. Parents report an e-Transfer in the member app and the office confirms it; paying fees by card through Jariyah is not built yet.

Madrasah, madrasa, madrassa, maktab, dugsi or weekend school
Which Islamic schools is Jariyah Madrasha built for?
The madrasah a masjid runs beside its other work: a weekend Islamic school, a full-time or evening Hifz class, Qa’idah and Nazirah, a summer programme. It is weekend Islamic school software and Hifz software at once, each programme with your own name and levels. Jariyah offers these five to start from and lays none down by itself.
Hifz and Qa’idah lessons
For Hifz, the sabaq by surah and ayahs, with sabqi, manzil, grades and mistakes; for Qa’idah, the page reached. Pages are worked out from the ayahs, never typed, on the Madani 15-line Mushaf, the only edition today.
Attendance, one mark a day
Present, absent, late or excused, with a note, one mark per child per programme per day. A day that has not come yet cannot be marked.
Grades in your words
Six grades from 0 to 5, named by your madrasah. The number is what is stored, so renaming a grade rewrites no history.
Teachers see their own class
See only the students they teach now, and nothing about money. A child they do not teach is not shown to them at all.
A school from a spreadsheet
Up to 1,000 lines from Excel or a CSV, siblings grouped by family. A preview writes nothing, and nothing goes in while any line is refused.
End of term in bulk
Up to 200 children moved to a new level or programme, or finished, withdrawn or paused, at once and all or nothing.
Family fees
How does a madrasah charge fees in Canadian dollars?
In the masjid’s own currency, kept to the cent: Canadian dollars for a Canadian masjid. Each month the office raises one charge per child’s enrollment, a sibling discount comes off if one is set, and what each family pays is recorded against it. A family’s payment settles its oldest month first.
- 1
Charge the month
Charge raises only what is missing and says so, so pressing it again charges nobody twice. A paused or free enrollment is not charged, and a part month is not prorated.
- 2
The sibling discount
Set an amount and the child it starts from, the second by default, and it comes off one fee of each child from then on, counted in the order they joined.
- 3
Record a payment
Cash, cheque, e-Transfer or card, with a cheque number or an e-Transfer reference. It settles the oldest month first, and anything left over is credit for the next charge.
- 4
Reversed, never erased
A wrong payment is reversed with its reason, and a charge raised by mistake is voided, which frees the month. What paid what stays readable.
With Jariyah Bookkeeping, each fee payment posts to the books as it is received, as school fees, into cash, the bank or card clearing by how it was paid. What families owe stays in the madrasah, the same figure on every page.
Parents
Can parents pay madrasah fees by e-Transfer?
Yes, from their own bank into the masjid’s own account: Jariyah never moves or holds the money. A parent who has sent an Interac e-Transfer reports it in the member app with the amount, the day and a reference if there is one, and the office confirms it. Once confirmed, it settles the family’s oldest month first.
- 1
The parent app is the member app
The office invites a guardian from the child’s page. One login for giving, prayer times and the madrasah, and the office can take the access away at once.
- 2
What is owed, on the phone
The app shows what the family owes in Canadian dollars, the same figure the office sees.
- 3
Report the payment
E-Transfer, cash, cheque or card, the day it was paid and a reference if there is one. No proof file is attached.
- 4
The office confirms
Confirming records a real payment, spread oldest month first. A rejected report shows the office’s reason; a confirmed one is undone only by reversing its payment.
On the same page of the app, parents see each child’s attendance for the last 30 days, recent lessons, this week’s homework, which they can mark done, and the madrasah’s announcements.
Questions
Islamic school software in Canada: common questions
Can a madrasah issue tax receipts for school fees?
Not from Jariyah. A fee payment is recorded as school fees, not as a gift, and Jariyah makes no receipt or statement for fees yet. Whether any part of a religious school’s fees may be receipted as a gift is a CRA rule to apply with your accountant, not Jariyah’s to decide.
Does Jariyah make report cards in a provincial format?
No. Where a programme has them turned on, Jariyah Madrasha e-mails parents a daily lesson report, weekly reports and a monthly report a teacher can review and add a goal to, in your madrasah’s own grade names. It has no provincial report-card format, so a full-time school that must issue one should ask before relying on Jariyah for it.
Can parents register their children online?
No. There is no public registration form. The office enrols each child with their household and guardians, or brings a whole school in from a spreadsheet of up to 1,000 lines, siblings grouped by family. Duplicates are caught before they go in, and twins can still be added.
Which time zone do the madrasah’s reminders follow?
Your masjid’s own. Every clock in the madrasah is your organization’s time zone, set once, so the homework reminder goes after 6 pm local time by default, weekly and monthly reports, where a programme has them on, go on the days you choose, and a teacher marks today’s attendance, never tomorrow’s, wherever in Canada the masjid is.
How are madrasah teachers paid?
Through Jariyah HR & payroll, under federal and Saskatchewan rules today; no other province yet, and Quebec is not covered. A paid teacher is added to HR as an employee like any other staff member, salaried or hourly, while their classes stay in the madrasah. The Teacher role gives no sight of fees or of children they do not teach.
How much does Jariyah Madrasha cost?
Jariyah does not publish prices. Madrasha is one service, switched on alone or beside the books, donor management, the member app and the others, so the conversation starts with how your madrasah runs today. The Jariyah team sets it up. Call or text Ashique Hossain at 306-209-3923 to talk it through.
